Tenant Process & Guidelnes

 

We have several plans available based on usage; we will have introductory rates for the first year which are approachable and affordable. Get started below.

 

Step 1: Fill in the Application

In addition to this online application form, you will need to upload:

  • Business Plan
  • Twelve (12) month Cash Flow Statement
  • Three personal/professional references

Step 2: Background & Credit Check

  • Please allow a few days for us to complete this step.

Step 3: If accepted, you will receive a user agreement for signature

Step 4: Acquire Allegheny County Health Department Permit for Shared Kitchen User

  • You must submit the application and receive your permit prior to getting access to the space. We'll supply you with the equipment list and the commitment letter that must accompany the application.

Step 5: Kitchen Access and Orientation

  • At this point, you will be provided with a key to the Hilltop Shard Kitchen.

Hours of Operation

  • Opening and Closing Hours: 6a - 10p
  • Booking System: Users must reserve kitchen time through the Shared Kitchen Google Calendar. Time slots are subject to availability, and exceeding the scheduled time may result in additional charges.

General Conduct

  • Professional Behavior: All Users must maintain a professional attitude, treating others with respect and courtesy at all times.
  • Communication: Use designated channels (e.g., email, phone, booking system) for communication. Chef Alekka is the contact for all questions, concerns, issues and emergencies.

Equipment Usage & Maintenance

  • Proper Use of Equipment: Users must use all equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions and kitchen policies. Users cannot leave equipment plugged in unattended.
  • Maintenance: Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment to Chef Alekka immediately.
  • Cleaning Equipment After Use: Clean and sanitize equipment after each use. Failure to do so may result in cleaning fees or restricted access.
  • Shared Equipment Care: Treat shared equipment with respect. Avoid overloading or misusing it.
  • Supplies: Users are responsible for ensuring they have their own ingredients, tools, and packaging materials unless otherwise agreed.
